Goodyear, one of the world’s largest tire companies, has launched the new wide range of product portfolio of engine oils lubricants in India.
India ranked in the list of top three countries in terms of the consumption of automotive lubricants globally.
Currently, Mineral Semi-synthetic and Fully synthetic are used in India.

Goodyear has made a fresh start in the automotive lubricants segment in the Indian market.
The company has launched a range of engine oil in collaboration with Assurance International in the country on Wednesday.
This engine oil will be available for all types of vehicles, commercial, passenger, and two-wheelers.
In this range, the company has offered grease, brake fluid, transmission oil, tractor oil, diesel fluid, gear oil, and hydraulic oil.

Goodyear lubricants India: Strategy & Plans:
According to Mr. Sanjay Sharma (Country Head – Sales, Marketing & Operations at Assurance International-Goodyear Lubricants), India is a strategically important market for automotive lubricants as it is among the top-three consumers, globally.
Firstly, Assurance International-Goodyear Lubricants will focus on the after-market segment, then the focus will shift to tie-ups with automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) during the second phase.

Along with this, Assurance International is part of the Satyas group, which has a known brand in iron and steel, education, and real estate. Under this agreement, both companies want to give a new twist to the range of engine oil in India.
The products are fully tested in laboratories and fields, as per international standards.
The laboratories have ensured that all products are examined before leaving the blending plant.
All products are guaranteed to perform as per the specifications of the American Petroleum Institute (API) including the new Goodyear vehicle lubricants, produced by Assurance Intl Limited.

Availability of product in the market
The new range of engine oil will be available in some parts of India in early November.
Sanjay Sharma, Country Head, Goodyear India, stated that “The company has decided to enter the Indian market, as Indian comes in the top three countries in terms of consumption of automotive lubricants globally.
Goodyear is one of the largest tire companies in the world. It employs around 63,000 people and manufactures its products in 46 facilities in 21 countries around the world.
The company currently has two innovation centers. The first is in Akron, Ohio, and the second is in Colmar Luxembourg.
