MG ZS EV – Competitors
The MG ZS EV was firstly introduced in India in January 2020, which is around one year back. this SUV competes against the Hyundai Kona electric, Tata Nexon ev that’s also a very popular EV’s in the Indian market.

The MG ZS EV 2021 – What’s New?
The biggest change is the new 44.5kWh ‘Hi-tech’ battery pack that increased the ZS EV’s range to a claimed 419km (iCAT) – up from the 340km (ARAI) offered by the older 44.5kWh pack in the 2020 model.
But the company says that one could expect a real-world range of 300-400km on a single charge “in most conditions”.

Also, the ground clearance of the new zs ev has now been improved which raised to 177mm.

The MG ZS EV comes with 143 PS power and 350 Nm torque and can reach from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.5 seconds. It is available in two variants – Excite & Exclusive.

As India’s first pure electric internet SUV, it adopts MG signature global design cues and comes loaded with features such as a panoramic sunroof, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, PM 2.5 Filter, and more.
Along with the ZS EV, MG extends its customers a 5-way charging ecosystem including free-of-cost AC fast-charger at residences/offices, portable in-car charging cable, DC superfast charging stations at dealerships, 24×7 charge-on-the-go facility (in 5 cities), and charging stations in satellite cities and tourist hubs.

Range:
The battery pack of the ev has the same as before but the driving range has improved up to 413 claimed range but the company says “users can get a 300-400 KM range in most situations“
Battery Charging Time:
The battery can be charged up to 80% in 16 to 18 hours with a 15A home socket. Furthermore, the company offers a 7kW AC wall charger with the car that turns up the battery in 6 to 8 hours.
but for speedy charging, a 50kW DC fast charger can charge the battery in just 50 minutes.
Warranty:
The updated version comes with a best-in-class 44.5 kWh Hi-Tech battery and you get 8 year/1,50,000 lakh km warranty on the battery.

MG ZS EV 2021 – Improved Network
The car was initially launched in 5 cities during its launch in January 2020.
Now, the company has expanded the charging ecosystem network across the county with its partners, by available for bookings in 31 cities.
New cities include – Goa, Calicut, Bhubaneshwar, Ranchi, Mysore, Trivandrum, Mangalore, Vijaywada, Puducherry, and Kolhapur.
